Senior Accounting Partner (m/w/d)

We are currently looking for a Senior Accounting Partner (m/w/d) who will provide Account to Report (A2R) processing and related services with end to end accountability. GBS is setting up a new captive shared service center in Hungary and North America with processing capabilities and expertise and in country / MCO to provide front line services in the following A2R processes:

• Assets Management
• Tax and Interco accounting
• Treasury accounting
• GL accounts closing and reporting

The position is full-time with 37.5 hours per week at the Cologne location with flextime, home office option (1-2 days per week) and an attractive salary package.

Ihre Aufgaben

The purpose of this role is to:

• Be the A2R partner to the local business and provide value add services to key stakeholders through proximity, knowledge of local business, culture and language
• Jointly with the Captive Centers, deliver end to end services
• Facilitate resolution of operational issues in an effective and timely manner
• Monitor operational KPIs and compliance with policies and guidelines
• Drive continuous improvement

Ihr Profil

• Graduate or Master’s degree in finance or accounting
• 5-10 years hands on experience in Account to Report processes in an international, multicultural, complex environment
• Knowledge of IFRS and local GAAPs
• Strong understanding of the end-to-end A2R processes and SBS organization
• Knowledge of A2R processes at transaction level
• Hands-on experience of SAP FICO and other IT tools
• Strong customer orientation with ability to understand and meet their requirements
• Ability to interact with internal and external clients in a professional manner
• Team player, cooperating with direct and remote teams with an end to end service delivery mindset
• Fluent English and good German
